Death is perpetual, but we'll always live on in each other heart.
As you take ur last breath, whoever that fills your thots, and whom you will create a
void for the rest of their lives until you reunite in heaven or any other dimension again, are those that really matters. Treasure this group of pple, and live for and with them. Take time off to create more happie memories for them to remember you with. Work can wait, pple and events that doesnt matter shouldn't be your priority. Dun hesitate to let them know how impt they are to you, and dun be scare to show ur love towards them. Indulge in things you want to do and love urself more everyday. Aim to make you and them happie everyday, cos you'll never know when ur last day is. As you breath your last breathe, you'll be at peace that you've gave them all the happiness that no one can replace, and you'll wait patiently for the day you reunite again.

When I enetered finexis abt 4-5 yrs ago, all I have in mind is to help pple to plan. It hurts not to have a financial plan in place. I've never though of becoming rich in this career, just earning enough, and enjoy the things I love doing. That's all.
真不明白事情为何会变成这样。。 别跟太多人走得太轻近吧。 Just concentrate on doing what I love, and loving what I do. Heard a story today that happened to a person. 惋惜吧,having a family, with kids doesn't matters. A person will just change. Nothing last forever, not even with ur partner and child's love. It doesn't matter if one is married, divorce will still happen if the heart's no longer there. Thus, I have no faith in an lawful union.

第三次与他去看 Sandy的concert 了。
这次,是个好棒的concert。Sandy was amazing!
Thanks for letting me fall in love with ur child like image during ur 伤痕album. Ur songs are simply touching, the way you sing is simply captivating, and ur stamina, amazing. 真是一个很棒很棒的concert..
From the beginning where you rocked us thru, to the part I love most when you sang 词不达意and danced with the dancer, it's really beautiful, very artistic, very, very powerful, yet fragile and beautiful. 好几次,差点被你弄哭,luckily the movement between ur songs were rapid enough to divert my attention. And of cos, it was so pretty when the bubbles were in the air..
And you know what, I kept telling myself that Tze Vin doesn't means anything other than a friend, and I think I can quite keep to this! Even now, thou I really wana blog down tonite's memories of him, but I've decided that i want to write to remember the concert more than of him. I will con't to work hard to keep him out of my mind. And my fave performance, 词不达意, is actually abt a ger liking someone and wants to find a way to communicate with him to tell him that she likes him, sorta describes the situation I am in. But I'll work hard, we will always be 2 parallel lines only.
所以,今晚,除了记下当他看到我拿不到confetti 之后而帮我从地上捡了起来给我,and it's now safely tucked in the Sistic envelope and lying in my drawer now, there's nth else That i wana pen down and indulge myself in.
And one more thing, he mentioned this when we were leaving, 下次来我们要再park在这里。will there be a next time? Let time tell bah..
Dear Father God.. Thank you for creating such a beautiful nite for me.. Pls bless Tze Vin and help him find a job that he wants, will enjoy and is happy about. May his career path be successful, and happiness to surround him and his family always!

'You've got to find what you love,' Jobs says
This is a prepared text of the Commencement address delivered by Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, on June 12, 2005.
I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories.
The first story is about connecting the dots.
I dropped out of Reed College after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. So why did I drop out?
It started before I was born. My biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. She felt very strongly that I should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife. Except that when I popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl. So my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking: "We have an unexpected baby boy; do you want him?" They said: "Of course." My biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. She refused to sign the final adoption papers. She only relented a few months later when my parents promised that I would someday go to college.
And 17 years later I did go to college. But I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. After six months, I couldn't see the value in it. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. And here I was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. So I decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out OK. It was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The minute I dropped out I could stop taking the required classes that didn't interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.
It wasn't all romantic. I didn't have a dorm room, so I slept on the floor in friends' rooms, I returned coke bottles for the 5¢ deposits to buy food with, and I would walk the 7 miles across town every Sunday night to get one good meal a week at the Hare Krishna temple. I loved it. And much of what I stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. Let me give you one example:
Reed College at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. Throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed. Because I had dropped out and didn't have to take the normal classes, I decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this. I learned about serif and san serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great. It was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can't capture, and I found it fascinating.
None of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life. But ten years later, when we were designing the first Macintosh computer, it all came back to me. And we designed it all into the Mac. It was the first computer with beautiful typography. If I had never dropped in on that single course in college, the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. And since Windows just copied the Mac, it's likely that no personal computer would have them. If I had never dropped out, I would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do. Of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in college. But it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years later.
Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.
My second story is about love and loss.
I was lucky — I found what I loved to do early in life. Woz and I started Apple in my parents garage when I was 20. We worked hard, and in 10 years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over 4000 employees. We had just released our finest creation — the Macintosh — a year earlier, and I had just turned 30. And then I got fired. How can you get fired from a company you started? Well, as Apple grew we hired someone who I thought was very talented to run the company with me, and for the first year or so things went well. But then our visions of the future began to diverge and eventually we had a falling out. When we did, our Board of Directors sided with him. So at 30 I was out. And very publicly out. What had been the focus of my entire adult life was gone, and it was devastating.
I really didn't know what to do for a few months. I felt that I had let the previous generation of entrepreneurs down - that I had dropped the baton as it was being passed to me. I met with David Packard and Bob Noyce and tried to apologize for screwing up so badly. I was a very public failure, and I even thought about running away from the valley. But something slowly began to dawn on me — I still loved what I did. The turn of events at Apple had not changed that one bit. I had been rejected, but I was still in love. And so I decided to start over.
I didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.
During the next five years, I started a company named NeXT, another company named Pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife. Pixar went on to create the worlds first computer animated feature film, Toy Story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world. In a remarkable turn of events, Apple bought NeXT, I returned to Apple, and the technology we developed at NeXT is at the heart of Apple's current renaissance. And Laurene and I have a wonderful family together.
I'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if I hadn't been fired from Apple. It was awful tasting medicine, but I guess the patient needed it. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.
My third story is about death.
When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.
Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.
About a year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I had a scan at 7:30 in the morning, and it clearly showed a tumor on my pancreas. I didn't even know what a pancreas was. The doctors told me this was almost certainly a type of cancer that is incurable, and that I should expect to live no longer than three to six months. My doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is doctor's code for prepare to die. It means to try to tell your kids everything you thought you'd have the next 10 years to tell them in just a few months. It means to make sure everything is buttoned up so that it will be as easy as possible for your family. It means to say your goodbyes.
I lived with that diagnosis all day. Later that evening I had a biopsy, where they stuck an endoscope down my throat, through my stomach and into my intestines, put a needle into my pancreas and got a few cells from the tumor. I was sedated, but my wife, who was there, told me that when they viewed the cells under a microscope the doctors started crying because it turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer that is curable with surgery. I had the surgery and I'm fine now.
This was the closest I've been to facing death, and I hope it's the closest I get for a few more decades. Having lived through it, I can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept:
No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
When I was young, there was an amazing publication called The Whole Earth Catalog, which was one of the bibles of my generation. It was created by a fellow named Stewart Brand not far from here in Menlo Park, and he brought it to life with his poetic touch. This was in the late 1960's, before personal computers and desktop publishing, so it was all made with typewriters, scissors, and polaroid cameras. It was sort of like Google in paperback form, 35 years before Google came along: it was idealistic, and overflowing with neat tools and great notions.
Stewart and his team put out several issues of The Whole Earth Catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. It was the mid-1970s, and I was your age. On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you.

前幾個月的某一天,
我接到一封電郵,
附件是一首Demo.
用itunes打開時,
在Name一欄中寫著Khalil Fong。
細讀電郵的內容,
更覺得開心,
因為演唱者將是薛凱琪。
曾聽房祖名和我聊起剛合作拍完電影《分手說愛你》的Fiona,
便覺得這位獅子座的女生很有個性,
若能為她寫歌詞,
將會很有挑戰性。
另一方面,
能夠再次寫到方大同的歌,
自覺很榮幸。
因為他為別人寫的歌並不多,
只有少數歌手邀得到他寫歌。
既然如此,
能夠2次合作,
(第一首是潘辰《起風的季節》)
就表示他與他的團隊:
Charles和Edward他們對我的作品還不太排斥。
和我合作過的歌手,
許多都從不擺架子。
Fiona也是。
她向她的經紀人索取了我的電郵和電話號碼之後,
便第一時間打電話給我,
和我分享了她對歌詞的想法。
縱使在內地偏遠地帶排戲,
一旦有網絡訊息,
她就會查看我的歌詞,
並馬上給予我意見。
過程雖然有點小辛苦,
但絕對是寫得很開心的一個Case
《不要愛我》的原概念說的是:
當你碰到一個這輩子再也不可能碰到的,
再好的人時,
你會很惜福,會很感激緣份。
然而同時你也很小心,
一直當知己,
享受和對方相處的同時,
也其實是在折磨自己,
不能再進一步地靠近對方。
(我很想跟Fiona說我還沒有這種經驗,
因為我是理智派的魔羯座,
要是碰到這麼好的男生,
而我覺得我們有可能發展的話,
我是不會猶豫的。
在一起了之後,
我會竭盡所能為這段珍貴的感情努力,
不讓遲疑能得一點逞。
反之,要是我覺得我們不會長久的話,
我會很快將我對他的愛的感覺消滅掉,
回歸當朋友的自然。)
其實我對這個概念非常熟悉,
因為這是我自己兩個好朋友,
在6年前的經歷。

Dunno why, decided to google "小寒” this morning and saw a song that I thot wasn't nice when i heard it earlier before going out.. And saw that the song was actually written by 小寒.. 而不知觉中,realised the meaning of her lyrics..
So went all out and read thru her blog.. and found this song.. a song that i like very much.. but just do not understand the lyrics.. and now i finally sorta know.. so copying it over her for my personal reading cos i dun wana flip thru so many entries again when i wana read it..

先來看一下把蔡妹拍得美美的MV
“拋物線”
我最喜歡黃昏和煙火那一慕,
你們呢?
導演這次將她裝進了一個圓筒形的道具,
據說應該是個試管。
但不知是否我想太多
我怎麼總覺得它看起來像一個時光機,
好像她是從未來飛回來的人,
看透了人世煙火,
站在人群中向現在的人們訴說愛情的種種經歷。
先說這首詞的來源:
有別於我今年發表過的一些作品,
拋物線的詞花了挺長一段時間(一年!)才寫好的。
蔡妹在搬到台灣,許久沒連絡時,
突然給我寄來一首demo。
和”達爾文”一樣,
這首歌也是她某一天醒來決定為她自己喜歡的歌手所寫的。
這回,是那英。
我從沒為那英寫過歌詞,
對她的口氣並不熟悉
(這是藉口啦,是因為她沒催我,我就take my time哈哈)。
於是,我很不要命地,
把歌收了起來,沒寫。
突然有一天,我感到很內疚,
便寫了這首”拋物線”。
當作教材來說一說:
歌詞的主歌與副歌截然不同。
詞人往往喜歡在主歌加入場景,
在副歌使用對話的方式來將主題說出。
我一般也是。
但這首歌是反過來的。
因為曲子的結構本來就是這樣。
主歌的旋律一直重複著,好像一個人在自言自語。
於是我寫了:
“我確實說 我這樣說 我不在乎結果
我對你說 我有把握 成功例子好多
人們虛假又造作 總愛得不溫不火
我們用真心就不會有差錯
我沒想過我會難過 你竟然離開我“
﹣來描述歌手從自信到對對方驚訝的心情轉折。
後面的一段的主歌,基於情緒較為激動,
我利用了後悔和遺憾的口氣來為這段感情做結尾。
“我好想說 我只想說 我不要這後果
可是你說 相對來說 走開是種解脫
當初親密的動作 變成當下的閃躲
感情的過程出了什麼差錯
我沒想過我會難過 你終於離開我“
﹣敘述歌手認可了愛情挽不回的結論。
副歌和歌名靈感來源則是:

啊,”Envision”是許多自信的男女對自己未來的視域。
我們常常以為自己能會推測自己的幸福和成功。
可是,真的會實現嗎?
我們國中時上體育課時學習丟擲標槍(Javelin)一樣,
我們都知道,可以很用力很用力地將它往前仍,
但它是否可以飛得更遠,或甚至是否得到達我們預估的結果,
當中還要得到時間、風向、角度其他種種阻力的許可。
正如用愛情做出發,最後是否能安全降落在幸福裡,誰知道。

奇怪的是,我們好多人的心都摔不死,只能躺在那裡呻吟著,活生生地感受著心的巨痛。

因為這張專輯的走向應是比以往的輕盈、正面。)
我們小時候,父母和老師教會我們,
天時地力人和還有努力,才是確保往後到達目標的要素。
於是我們努力地做好自己,同時尋找著Mr Right,
年輕時的我們的卻忍不住憑第一眼感覺去認定他就是對的人。

我之前說過:“懂得永恆得要我們 進化成更好的人“
但我們都知道,理論歸理論,現實才是真理。

(這是藉口啦,是因為她沒催我,我就take my time哈哈)。
於是,我很不要命地,
把歌收了起來,沒寫。
突然有一天,我感到很內疚,
便寫了這首”拋物線”。
當作教材來說一說:
歌詞的主歌與副歌截然不同。
詞人往往喜歡在主歌加入場景,
在副歌使用對話的方式來將主題說出。
我一般也是。
但這首歌是反過來的。
因為曲子的結構本來就是這樣。
主歌的旋律一直重複著,好像一個人在自言自語。
於是我寫了:
“我確實說 我這樣說 我不在乎結果
我對你說 我有把握 成功例子好多
人們虛假又造作 總愛得不溫不火
我們用真心就不會有差錯
我沒想過我會難過 你竟然離開我“
﹣來描述歌手從自信到對對方驚訝的心情轉折。
後面的一段的主歌,基於情緒較為激動,
我利用了後悔和遺憾的口氣來為這段感情做結尾。
“我好想說 我只想說 我不要這後果
可是你說 相對來說 走開是種解脫
當初親密的動作 變成當下的閃躲
感情的過程出了什麼差錯
我沒想過我會難過 你終於離開我“
﹣敘述歌手認可了愛情挽不回的結論。
副歌和歌名靈感來源則是:
來自一部Adam Sandler 和 Drew Barrymore主演的 “Wedding Singer”當中的一段對白。
Robbie (Adam Sandler飾): How did you know that Glenn was the Right One?
Julia (Drew Barrymore飾): The right one, ah… I always just Envisioned the Right One being someone I could see myself growing old with.
啊,”Envision”是許多自信的男女對自己未來的視域。
我們常常以為自己能會推測自己的幸福和成功。
可是,真的會實現嗎?
我們國中時上體育課時學習丟擲標槍(Javelin)一樣,
我們都知道,可以很用力很用力地將它往前仍,
但它是否可以飛得更遠,或甚至是否得到達我們預估的結果,
當中還要得到時間、風向、角度其他種種阻力的許可。
正如用愛情做出發,最後是否能安全降落在幸福裡,誰知道。
“愛沿著 拋物線 離幸福 總降落得差一點“
奇怪的是,我們好多人的心都摔不死,只能躺在那裡呻吟著,活生生地感受著心的巨痛。
“流著血心跳卻不曾被心痛消滅 真真切切“
(這句是改寫過的,修成沒那麼刺骨、絕望。
因為這張專輯的走向應是比以往的輕盈、正面。)
我們小時候,父母和老師教會我們,
天時地力人和還有努力,才是確保往後到達目標的要素。
於是我們努力地做好自己,同時尋找著Mr Right,
年輕時的我們的卻忍不住憑第一眼感覺去認定他就是對的人。
“青春的 拋物線 把未來 始於相遇的地點“
只能說,這首詞是“達爾文“的“長大篇“
我之前說過:“懂得永恆得要我們 進化成更好的人“
但我們都知道,理論歸理論,現實才是真理。
愛到沸沸揚揚飛到天上之後,我們就會看到:
月兒就是月兒,自己不會發亮。
它的光芒乃來自太陽每天都在改變的照射。
愛情,真的被我們這些文字工作者偉大化了。

事实证明 幸福很难
